Lee Roy "Pete" Bingham, 61, of Franklin, Indiana passed away Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Franklin United Methodist Community in Franklin.

he was born July 9, 1949 in Franklin, Indiana to James Walter Bingham and Lora Bell (Edwards)Bingham.

He was a 1968 graduate of Franklin Community High School.

He was employed by Printworks in Whiteland, Indiana for several years. Mr. Bingham had been involved and worked in the printing business since he was 15 years old. He also had been a doorman for the Jeff Street Lounge in Franklin.

He enjoyed drag racing, doing home improvements, classic cars and going to the "Suds" in Greenwood.

Survivors include his daughter, Michelle L. Bingham of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Willard(Wilma)Bingham and James(Alice)Bingham, both of Franklin, Jack(Ann)Bingham of Whiteland; sisters, Aline Wallentine of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Margaret(Charles) Littleton and Frances(Sid Cross, deceased), both of Franklin; eleven nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vernon Bingham, Robert "Bobby" Bingham, Tommy Bingham, and Donny Bingham, and an infant sister, Arlene Bingham, and one niece.

The Reverend Larry McAdams will conduct a service Monday, March 7, 2011 at 3 p.m. at Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center, 300 South U.S. 31 (Morton Street) in Franklin. Friends may call from 1 p.m. Monday until service time at the mortuary.

Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions are made to the University Of Arizona Foundation/Arizona Cancer Center, 1515 North Cambell Avenue, P.O. Box 245013, Tucson, Arizona 85724.
