Services for Ray Peters, 77, Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2 PM Saturday at Autry Funeral Home Chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Michael Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Still Waters Memorial Gardens. Mr. Peters died April 3. He was born on May 27, 1929 in San Augustine. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean War and was a retired Mail Carrier. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Kirbyville and the Odd Fellows. Survivors include his wife, Alice Peters; son Jimmy Sanford; daughters; Jean Jackson, Terrie Blankenship, and Susan Husbands; sister, Jackie Holmes, Kirbyville; 10 Grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at the funeral home.
