TARWATER, MARK S - age 91 of Rt. 9, Kimberlin Heights Rd., passed away Tuesday night at Baptist Hospital. Former Knox County Humane Officer for 30 years.

Survivors: wife, Mrs. Ann Tarwater; daughters, Mrs. Altha Perry. Mrs. Tommy Adams, Mrs. Grace Julian, Mrs. Joy Norman, Mrs. Maxine Gray; sons, Paul, Dallas, and Roy Tarwater; stepsons, Clyde and Jerry Ellis, all of Knoxville; stepdaughters, Mrs. Pauline Rosenbalm, Mrs. Joyce Davis, Washburn; 26 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral 1 p.m. Friday at the Berry Chapel, Rev. Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and Rev. Hershell Sizemore officiating. Interment New Hopewell Cemetery. Pallbearers: Jim Norton, Mike Julian, Steve Tarwater, Phillip Gray, Bill Rader, Kenneth Tarwater. Honorary pallbearers: Lee Ogle, Harold Tipton, Hugh Burnett, Lindsey Johnson, Ike Rader, Sr. The family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Thursday at Berry Funeral Home.
