Cemetery records indicate that "CLARA FLAGLER FARNSWORTH" was buried on October 6, 1902.

The following obituary was published in the Lockport Journal on Friday October 10, 1902:

"Clara Flagler Farnsworth died, of typhoid fever, Oct. 3, 1902, at her home 236 Bryant street, Buffalo, wife of William H. Farnsworth, and youngest daughter of the late Thomas T. Flagler. The funeral was on Monday, Oct. 6, at noon from her late residence. The services were conducted by Dr. Mitchell and Mr. Masters of the First Presbyterian church, Buffalo, of which she was a member. As the burial was to be at Lockport the casket was conveyed from the house to a Lockport trolley car, a section of which was beautifully trimmed by friends in a reading club to which she belonged.
Two cars conveyed the friends to Lockport, and funeral services were also conducted at the home of her nephew, F. F. Helmer, on Locust street, Rev. B. M. Nyce officiating. The same cars carried the casket and friends to Glenwood cemetery, where she was laid at her request beside her father."
