Ralph W. Wolfe, 85, of Zanesville, died at 8:45 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2006 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born December 4, 1920 in New Lexington, Ohio a son of the late Walter and Esthel Spurbeck Wolfe. He retired from Armco Steel after 30 years of service and was U. S Army Veteran of World War II. Ralph was an active member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and was involved with the Boy Scouts since 1960 . He received the Silver Beaver Award and the God and Country Award. He was a Past District Commissioner for the Muskingum Valley Boy Scout Council. He was president of St. Luke's Lutheran Church Council and was active in Lutheran Social Services. He was a Mason and a member of Zavi Shrine. Surviving are his wife of 59 years ; H. Elizabeth Miller Wolfe, of the home, a daughter; Beth(Jim)Carpenter of Zanesville, a son; Keith(Barbara)Wolfe of Hopewell, four grandchildren; Jae Carpenter and Ashley Carpenter both of Columbus, Julie Wolfe and Kurt Wolfe both of Hopewell, a brother; John(Lavina)Wolfe of Columbus and a sister; Alice McDonald of Zanesville. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother; Sherman Wolfe.
