Word of the death of Mrs. J. E. Acock, former pioneer Shawnee resident, on July 29 at Wagner, has been received by friends and relatives here.
She came to Shawnee In 1903 from Missouri. Mrs. Acock was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist church of Shawnee.
She is survived by two sons, R. F. Acock, Parsons, Kan., Ira Acock, at whose home she died; and two daughters, Roma Francis Acock, Dalhart, Tex., and Mrs. I. N. E. Johnson, Shawnee.
