Youth on Road Killed by Car

SARAH, Miss, - Rusty Gregory a 17-year-old student at Coldwater High School, was struck by a car and killed near here early Saturday.
Tate County Sheriff Shelton Ingram said the youth was lying on a blacktopped county road when a car topped a hill and hit him. The accident occurred about a mile south of Mississippi 4 at 12:20 a.m. Saturday.
"We don't know why he was lying in the road, the sheriff said. An autopsy is being conducted and an investigation is continuing, he said. No charges have been filed against the driver. Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Truslow Cemetery near Sarah. C. O. Pate Funeral Home of Senatobia has charge. He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Gregory, and a brother, Richard Gregory, all of Sarah, and his grandparents, Mrs. Lola Lacefield of Sarah and Mrs. Willie B. Gregory of Crenshaw.
