Betty Jo Bradford, 91, a lifelong resident of Lewisville, passed away March 8, 2018, in Carrollton. Betty was born November 30, 1926 in Lake Dallas to George and Elizabeth Coulter. She married Gene Bradford on October 2, 1946 in Lake Dallas. Betty and Gene moved to Lewisville and remained there together until Gene’s death in 2002. Betty worked many years for Bell Telephone until she became the proud mother of James Douglas Bradford in 1956, and Elizabeth Diane Bradford in 1961. She devoted her life to God, family, and serving others. She will be fondly remembered for her wonderful cooking and her infamous chocolate pie, which was a family favorite. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She often told others of Douglas’ successful design business and store, and Diane and Kirk’s busy job rearing her three grandchildren. She was the very proud grandmother of three; Lauren, Brad, and Tyler Lundblade. She was always asking about their many dance, piano, football, baseball, and basketball activities. She never ceased to tell everyone she met about them. Betty was a member of the West Main Street Church of Christ since her marriage. Even after becoming homebound or bedridden, she faithfully read her church bulletin each week and was always concerned for others and stayed in touch. She led a life that helped and served those around her.

Betty is survived by her son, Douglas Bradford; her daughter, Diane Lundblade and her husband, Kirk; grandchildren, Lauren, Brad and Tyler Lundblade; sister, Mary Ruth Ellis; many dear brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, and friends.

We rejoice now that Betty is in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift”. II Cor 9:15
