Martha C. Brimhall Adams was born February 1, 1855 and departed this life June 5, 1929, aged 74 years, 4 months and 4 days, She was married to Calvan Adams in 1871, he preceding her in death 1 year, 4 months and 4 days. She professed faith in Christ when but a girl and united with Prospect Church of this county. She was a member of that church at death, having lived a consistant Christian life till death. She leaves to mourn her departure one brother, John Brimhall of Weatherford, Texas, and several nephews and nieces of Texas, and John Adams, Susie Adams, brother and sister-in-law of Selmore, Mo. and many other relatives and friends to mourn her departure. She died at her home at Eureka Springs, Arkansas. T. B. Chaffin of Ozark was called to prepare the body and return it to Selmore where funeral services were held June 7th at the Selmore Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Albert Hanks, with burial under direction of T. B. Chaffin.
