West Columbia - Services for Virginia Heaton Patterson, 78, will be held at 11:00 a. m. Monday, October 20, 2008, at Red Bank Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor Junior Jacobs, and Pastor Butch Powell.

Pallbearers will be Clay Patterson, Bryan Patterson, Jeremy Patterson, Donnie Rutledge, Tony Feraci and Kent Shaw.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 p. m. to 9:00 p. m. Sunday, October 19, 2008, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Memorials may be made to "Young at Heart Club," Red Bank Baptist Church, 120 Community Drive, Lexington, S. C. 29073.

Mrs. Patterson died Friday, October 17, 2008. Born in Salem, S. C., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Odessa Wood Heaton. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church.

Mrs. Patterson is survived by her children, Connie (Ed) Bolton, Patricia Patterson, Jeffery (Abbigale) Patterson, Anita (Carlos) Duque and Phyllis Hughes; daughter-in-law, Dovey Patterson; brother, Carlee (Joan) Heaton, grandchildren, April (Tony) Feraci, Nancy (Brian) Kennedy, Clay (Jessie) Patterson, Bryan Patterson, Jeremy Patterson, Curtis Broadnax, Breanna (Donnie) Rutledge, Madeline Duque, Pamela White,Ricky Blackwell and Micky Blackwell; great-grandchildren, Jakob Patterson, Gabriel Feraci, Luca Feraci, Dominic Feraci, Michael Kennedy, Caitlin Kennedy, Tyler Kennedy, Dyland Blackmon, Wesley White, Douglas Titus, Bethany Johnson, Heather Webb, Paula Webb, Brittani Titus, Braidon Johnson and Bailey Patterson.

Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Leland C. Patterson; children, Bernice, Ricky and Michael Patterson; sister, Louise Nicholson; grandchild, Natalie Kennedy.
