Oak Hill, Ohio - Funeral services are to be conducted in Kentucky Sunday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Nora Sturgell, 85, South Webster Rt. 4, who died at her home Thursday morning, 16 days after the death of her husband, George.
Born at Harrel, Ky., April 27, 1878, she was a member of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Bessie Pettigreu of Peru, Ind., and Mrs. Dockie Van Hoose of Pikeville, Ky.; seven stepdaughters, Mrs. Charles Trapp and Mrs. Arnold Sulk of South Webster, Mrs. Victoria Tipton of Lucasville, Mrs. George Raney of Louisville, Ky., Mrs. Riley Griffith of Middletown, Mrs. W.M. Marker of London and Mrs. Gim Layne of Harrel, Ky.; five stepsons, Carl of London, Earl of Cincinnati, Ishmael of Mt. Sterling, Burt of Miamisburg and James of Rowend County, Ky.; two sisters, Mrs. Allie Marrs and Mrs. Minnie Hatcher, both of Harrel.
Rev. Charles Parsons will conduct services at the Baker Funeral Home in Pikeville with burial in Layne Cemetery at Harrell. Friends may call at the residence until Saturday, when the body will be taken to Pikeville by Kuhner Funeral Home.
