wife of Kenneth Feneley, they married April 30, 1960 in Mackinaw City,MI.∼Judith, 81, of Clare, passed away on Friday, June 23, 2017, at Woodland Hospice in Mt. Pleasant. She was the daughter of Earl and Helen (Parsons) McCarthy.
She married Kenneth Feneley on April. 30, 1960, in Mackinaw City. She was a Homemaker first, but had worked as a Hostess for the Embers Restaurant in Mt. Pleasant and as a Clerk for Downtown Drugs in Clare. She and Ken moved to Clare from Mt. Pleasant 50 years ago. Home was her favorite place, with family always coming first.
She was an avid reader, loved animals, and had volunteered at the Clare Elementary School for several years. She attended the Clare United Methodist Church and served as a nursery attendant and assisted counting the weekly church offering. Those who knew her will remember her wit and charm.
Judy is survived by husband, Ken, daughters, Margaret (Mark) Van Hoose of Lake Ann, MI, Elizabeth "Betsy" Parrish (Mark Malanyn) of Phoenixville, PA., and Jennifer Feneley of Ypsilanti, MI., grandchildren, Sydney, Emily, and Daniel Parrish, and sisters-in-law, Connie McCarthy and Ginny McCarthy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers, Gary, Forrest, and David McCarthy.
A graveside service was planned for Sunday, July 2, at the Lakeside Cemetery in Mackinaw City with Pastor Jim Huber, a close family friend, officiating.
Memorials may be made to Woodland Hospice, Mt. Pleasant, Mi., or the Clare County Animal Shelter, Harrison, Mi.
