OBITUARY.
DIED suddenly at her residence, in this city, Mrs. Eliza A., consort of Mr. J. W. J. Niles, after a protracted suffering of several years; leaving a devoted husband and son to mourn their irreparable loss.
Her accomplished and refined demeanor, founded upon, and supported by the brilliant promises of the christian faith, created universal confidence, friendship and happiness of her acquaintance.
“Fair as the first who feel of woman kind,
Soft as the memory of buried love,
Pure as the prayer which childhood wafts above

Mr. Niles was in the newspaper business in 1838 in Matagorda County, likely where he married Eliza A. Gervais.
