Jimmy had owned and operated Bertram Excavating since 1975. He was happiest when he was running his machines, and he also loved spending time with his son and grandkids.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling, and he never missed daily time with his McDonald's coffee group.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 41 years, Elaine; son, Jimmy (Heather Hollis) Bertram Jr.; sister, Beverly (Ken) Dunker; brothers: Tony Bertram, Ron (Arlene) Bertram, and David (Charlene) Bertram; brother-in-law, Robert Rajala; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Kevin Bertram; his parents; sister, Barb Rajala; a niece, Lori Bertram, and a nephew, Steven Bertram.
Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing.
