Tressie Mae Ferguson, 86, of Springfield, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, at St. John's Hospice.
Tressie was born May 2, 1928, in Springfield, the daughter of Charles Jacob and Bessie Mae Esslinger Boehner. She married Francis "Frank" Ferguson in 1949 in Springfield.
She worked for the State of Illinois Dept. of Revenue; she retired after over 20 years of service.
She is survived by her husband, Frank Ferguson of Springfield; two daughters, Gayle (Phil) Jones of Apex, N.C., and Brenda (Peter) Crawford of Selbyville, Del.; four grandchildren: Courtney, Jason, Zach and Shea; four great-grandchildren; one brother, George Boehner; and sister-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Boehner.
Graveside services will be at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014, at Oak Ridge Cemetery with Sister Maira Barry officiating.
