Hazel Pauline Berry, 59, 132 Greyland Drive, Johnson City died Friday, September 1, 2006 in the Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late John and Bertha Harrison Presnell. Ms. Berry was a homemaker and was a member of True Gospel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alden Presnell and Johnny Richard Presnell. Survivors include a son, John Wesley Berry, Elizabethton; three daughters, Michelle Perky, Bristol, VA, Ginger Berry, Gray, TN, and Angel Carver, Washington County, TN; 10 grandchildren; four sisters, Margaret Akers and Elwanda Carver, both of Johnson City, Mary Gregg, Jonesborough and Vanessa Luttrell, Gray; nine brothers, Lloyd Presnell, Elizabethton, Harold Presnell, Hampton, Ancel Presnell, Jonesborough, Rev. Mack Presnell, Hampton, Gene Presnell, Gray, Mike Presnell, David Presnell, and Steve Presnell, all of Johnson City, and Rev. Dean Presnell, Elizabethton; and special friends, Debbie Howell and Betty Nichols. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service for Ms. Hazel Berry will be conducted at 8:00 P.M., Monday, September 4, 2006 in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with Rev. Dean Presnell and Rev. Mack Presnell officiating. Music will be under the direction of John Berry, Gene Presnell, and Mike Presnell. A graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, September 5, 2006 in the Happy Valley Memorial Park.
