Loris Beverly "Bud" Cox, 99, formerly of Wyoming, passed away Friday, March 16, 2018.
He lived until age 95 in Wyoming before moving to assisted care, most recently to Grandview Alzheimer's pecial Care Center in Peoria.
Bud was born on June 30, 1918, in Stark County, the son of Myron Ralph and Gladys Louise Oakes Cox. He married Helen Louise Vest on October 23, 1941. She preceded him in death on April 14, 2003, in Toulon.
Bud was a 1936 graduate of Wyoming High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II and fought in the famous Battle of the Bulge. He made life-long friends with the men of the "Lucky 7th" Armored Division. He farmed in Stark County and was a member of the Stark County Farm Bureau. He was a past school board member of the former Sandham and Wyoming school districts, former Essex Township Cemetery board trustee and a member of the Wyoming American Legion Post #91.
