Allen Sevatson, son of Bernard and June Sevatson, was born March 11, 1951 in Sioux Falls, SD. He grew up in Sioux Falls and graduated from Washington High School. Allen then graduated from Southeast Area Vocational Technical School in Sioux Falls with a degree in Business Management.
Allen started his career with Lewis Drug Stores, working there from 1971 to 1973. He then joined John Morrell & Co., working there from 1973 to 1987.
Allen was united in marriage with Julie Byg on June 12, 1976 in Sioux Falls. When Morrell’s went on strike, Allen began work for Western Airlines. After Western merged with Delta Airlines, he was transferred to Salt Lake City, UT for one year before transferring to Dallas, TX. Allen retired from Delta in 2006.
Allen was diagnosed with amyaloidosis and given one year to live. He fought hard to beat the odds and lived for six years after the diagnosis.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Julie; his son, Nathan Sevatson and his wife, Angela, North Richland Hills, TX; his grandson, Braxton Sevatson, North Richland Hills, TX; his sister, Deb Weber and her husband, Dan, Renner, SD; and many other relatives and friends.
Allen was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters.
