Obituary:
Lucille L. Krueger, 94
Port Richey, FL -- Lucille L. Krueger of
Port Richey, FL, passed away peacefully on
July 28, 2010.

She was born Jan. 25, 1916 to Harry O.
Learned and Caroline S. (Thomas) Learned
in Everett. Mrs. Krueger graduated from
Everett High School and was a prominent
member of the Kappa Alpha Epsilon Sorority
and enjoyed years of social functions.

On Aug. 11, 1935, she married Alton H.
Krueger of Malden. They were married for
67 years, and during that time, she
dedicated her life to supporting her
husband’s professional career and raising
their four children in several locations,
including Malden, Keene, NH, Longmeadow,
and West Dennis.

The Kruegers loved the water and as members
of the Bass River Yacht club, they took great
pleasure in sailing and sharing wonderful
times with close friends and family on the Cape.


After retirement they settled in Port Richey,
FL in 1982 and enjoyed 30 years of socializing
with many wonderful friends and traveling to
New England to visit family and more friends.
She tended to Al around the clock in his final
years struggling with heart disease.

Mrs. Krueger lived and enjoyed every day to
the fullest, up to the middle of July at the
Dollar Lake pool swimming and became known for
sharing her daily wine and cheese ritual with
good friends.

Mrs. Krueger was proceeded in death by her
husband, Alton H. Krueger (2002) and son
Alton H. Krueger, Jr. (2009); and leaves
behind son Robert T. Krueger and wife
Meredith (Pollard) Krueger of Yarmouthport;
daughter-in-law, Anastasia (Kotsonis) Krueger
of Framingham; daughters Susan K. Allick and
husband Wilfred E. Allick, Jr. of St. Croix,
USVI, and Pamela Krueger of Osterville. Also
remaining are grandchildren Tami (Krueger)
Ostrom of Marstons Mills, Caroline Krueger of
Watertown, James D. Krueger and wife Jill
(Martin) Krueger of Hudson, N.H., Wilfred E.
Allick, III and Haley E. Allick of St. Croix,
USVI; and three great-grandchildren, Joey and
Victoria Ostrom and Jameson Krueger.

A memorial service was held. at St. David’s
Episcopal church in South Yarmouth.
