Samuel W. Gustin Dies at Cincinnati
Samuel W. Gustin, 85, native Of Blanchester, died at Bethesda Hospital, Cincinnati, Friday at 8:45 a. m., following a serious six weeks' illness.
He was born Apr. 14, 1869, at Blanchester the son of James and Esther Barr Gustin, and was a life member of Blanchester lOOF lodge. He also held membership in the Blanchester Methodist Church.
Mr. Gustin retired in 1939, after being employed for 25 years in the the Ohio state department of Penal institutions. At the time of his death he was making his home with only son, George Gustin, 1764 Yorkshire Place, Cincinnati, who with one nephew and two nieces, are the only survivors. His wife, Mrs. Katherine Williams Gustin died Mar. 7, 1952.
Services for Samuel W. Gustin who died Friday at 8:45 a. m. were held at the Hannah Funerasl Home, Blanchester, Monday afternoon.
Revs. Perry C. Grimm and Stanley W. Wiant conducted the services and Mrs. Frank Haines presided at the organ.
Pallbearers' were CY Snyder, Turner Tedrick, Jack Ferris, George Roby, J. W. Watts and N P. Shank, and interment was in Blanchester IOOF cemetery.

Blanchester Couple Married 50 Years Ago
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gustin, Blanchester residents who have been spending the winter at the home of their son, George, at Roselawn, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary there Tuesday in a quiet fashion
The couple was married at the parsonage of Grace Methodist Church Blanchester by Rev. Hamilton on February 5, 1896
They had planned having a reception and open house on their anniversary cancel their plans because of the illness of their daughter-in-law
