Owen Langlie, 83, of North Mankato, died Monday, May 22, 2000, at Lake Crystal Health Care Center.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with burial in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. today at Bethlehem Lutheran Church and at the church Wednesday, one hour prior to the service.
Woodland Hills Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

He is survived by his wife, Alice of North Mankato; daughters and sons-in-law, Gladys and Lynn Adams of Barrett, Connie and Martin Christianson of Lake Crystal, and Janet and Wesley Goff of North Mankato; daughter-in-law, Joan Langlie of North Mankato; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Arthur, of North Mankato; sister and brother-in-law, Claire and Roger Luskey of Inver Grove Heights; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, David.

He was born Sept. 21, 1916, in Long Prairie to Clarence and Gunda (Bjerkaas) Langlie. He attended school in Long Prairie.

He married Alice Kloppman on June 7, 1942 at Mankato. They farmed near North Mankato. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He also belonged to National Farmers Organization and Wonder Life Organic Farming.
