Emmer was born September 10, 1935, in Patrick County, VA, to the late McKinley and Lillie Pruitt Wilson.
Emmer Jean was a member of Wayside Baptist Church for many years and was retired from Jean's Florist where she was the owner and operator for over 30 years. She loved making flowers, gardening, and cooking where every Sunday a meal was prepared for her family as long as her health permitted.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Marshall Plummer, and a great-grandson, Brandon Carroll; 1 brother, J.D. Wilson.
She is survived by her 6 loving children: Brenda Martin (Rick), Barbara Fredricks (Al), Mary Collins (Thomas), Thelma McGee (Eugene), Linda Williams (Johnny), and Pat Williams (James Junior); 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Virginia Collins; 2 brothers: H.A. Wilson and Clarence Wilson.
There will be a 2 pm funeral service Tuesday, March 20, 2018, at Burroughs Chapel with Pastor Don McGee and Pastor Tim Gammons officiating. Burial will follow at the Wayside Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Monday, March 19, 2018, at Burroughs Funeral Home and other times at the home of her granddaughter, Tonya Rierson.
