Chester C. Baczynski, 80, of Kingston, passed away on Sunday morning, March 18, 2018, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, following a decline in health and a short stay at Kingston Health Care.
Born in Parsons, on Nov. 26, 1937, he was the son of Chester C. and Hedwig Skrocki Baczynski.
Chet was a 1955 graduate of Coughlin High School and was employed by the Acme Markets for 37 years. He served in the 109th Field Artillery and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved Chihuahuas, Cocoa and Faith.
The family would like to thank Dr. Susan Werner and the staff for the care they provided for Chet.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, the former Marie McCaffrey; daughter, Dr. Kathleen Baczynski, Gleason, Tenn.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from E. Blake Collins Funeral Home, 159 George Ave., Wilkes-Barre. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Joseph A. Kearney. Entombment will be in the Mary Mother of God Mausoleum in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
