Myron "Whitey" Johnston, 83, of Aledo, died Friday, Feb. 4, 1994, at Mercer County Hospital, Aledo.
Services are 1:30 p.m. Monday at Jinks Family Funeral Services, Aledo. Burial is in Hamlet Cemetery.
Visitation is 6 to 8 tonight. Memorials may be made to the Whitey Johnston Memorial Fund.
Mr. Johnston was born Oct. 10, 1910, in rural Edgington. He married Anna Marie Marston June 13, 1931, in Morrison. She died March 12, 1993.
He farmed in the Duncan Township area for 26 years.
In 1960, he became an insurance agent and adjuster for Farm Mutual Hail Insurance Company, Des Moines.
Survivors include a daughter, 3 sons, 17 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
