JEAN BALO

Jean Balo, 65, of 369 Morningview av, died of cancer Monday in Akron General Hospital.

Mrs. Balo was born in Columbus and lived in Akron 45 years. Her husband Wolford, is retired from Goodyear International.

She was a charter member of American Legion Post 2090 Auxiliary, past president of Summit County Salon 65 of the 8&40 and past secretary of the Akron Woman's Club and the Izaac Walton League.

She also held long memberships in Elva Chapter of Order of Eastern Star Akron Court No. 5 of the Order of the Amaranth, the Goodyear Women's Club, Sixth Ward Women's Democratic Club and the Middlebury Social Club of Mason Park.

In addition, she was a member of the Career Grandmothers Club at O'Neil's, where she worked from 1950 to 1960.

Besides her husband, she leaves daughters Xema Hamilton and Kay Chaitman and three grandchildren.
