Married 10 Feb 1915 at Hyrum, Cache, Utah to Veda Hortense Larsen.

Lawrence lived with his brother, Abraham, in Pocatello, Idaho, and attended ISU. His second year of schooling was interrupted when he returned to Dubois, Idaho, to manage the store while his family recuperated from small pox. After marriage, he and Veda spent their first year in Pocatello, later moving to Rupert. During these years Lawrence did a great deal of hunting with his red retriever "Spot". Veda canned the "wild meat" also fruits and vegetables. In 1931 the family moved to Santa Barbara, Calif., in a model "A" Ford. Lawrence worked for the City Police Department in the Identification Bureau. The family donated their talents to help the small branch of the LDS Church grow. There were lean years of "depression" with frequent meals of "Mormon Strawberries" and other staple foods which brought family "togetherness" as they shared happiness and sorrows. He accepted a position 1 Nov 1935 in Los Angeles, Calif., with Internal Revenue Service and served as an agent for "Uncle Sam" twenty years. They later moved to Bakersfield to make their home. He has been active in church work practically all his life, holding many positions in various organizations. He loved to travel and the later part of his life was devoted to Genealogy work.

Lawrence and Veda Hortense had the following children:

1. Nina Redford, (twin) b. 3 Aug 1916 at Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho; md. Mariano Robert Lazane (Lizoain).
2. Neta Redford, (twin) b. 3 Aug 1916 at Rupert, Minidoka, Idaho; d. 15 Jan 1934.
