Marion Ray (Ashby) Arnold, 90, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at Heritage Center.
Marion was born in Bisbee, Arizona on October 4, 1927 to Hershel and Cosia (Crabtree) Ashby. Marion previously worked at Shane Manufacturing, Libs Candy, Woods Drug Store and The Old Mill. She retired from Deaconess Hospital as a nursing assistant and worked as a ward secretary at the hospital. Marion was a member of First Avenue Presbyterian Church, The Compassionate Friends, and Eastern Star.
Marion is survived by her son, Steven Leslie Arnold of Lewisburgh, KY; daughter, Donna Mills of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Stephanie Farnsworth, Stacey Hall, and Scott Mills; great-grandchildren, Victoria and Sophia Farnsworth, Jaden and Kyrin Tabb and Bexley Mills.
Marion was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Leslie Arnold; son, Darrel Arnold was killed in the February C-130 plane crash at the Drury Inn in 1992 at the young age of 38; sisters, Irene Rickard, Sylvia Townsend, Loetta Epley, and Janice Rose.
Friends may visit from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Browning Funeral Home with burial to follow visitation at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson, KY.
