Ronald Caccioppo was born in Chicago, Illinois, on March 1, 1948, to Jack and Dorothy Caccioppo.
Ron was a really terrific man. He served in the Navy during the Viet Nam War. On board a destroyer, he learned a trade as a boiler man, and later used that knowledge to continue on in his everday life. He work at various schools in Chicago and later worked in a number of hospitals.
He met his wife Debbie, in 1969, and they married on June 27, 1974. Their son, Daniel was born on August 31, 1979.
Ron had many hobbies, which he was quite good at. He built many ship models. And later his interst were car modeling, which he also did as a youngster. Aside from a large collection of die cast models, he also, bought and built cars. During this time, he also has a big collection of music dating back to the 1940s. Later he made a collection of music tapes, he called and anthology. It was called Time Was. Music from 1968-1972, put onto tapes in the order that they came out on the radio.His greatest love, was his American Indian art that he produced. He spent many hours making Indian warrior shields, that I display all over the house...
Sadly, In August 2005, Ron was diagnosed with lymphoma, of the lung and throat. After a cpuple of chemo treatments, Ron surcomed to his cancer on January 21, 2006. Just a month after his wife Debbie's mom passed away.
Ronald was cremated and later that years, buried next to his father at the Chicog Cemetary in Wisconson.
Ronald is survived by his mother, son Daniel, and sister Jackie, and her husband, Louis Columbus of Niles Illinois.
