Bob was born in Milford, Delaware and grew up in Dover, Delaware.
He graduated from Dover High School in 1958 and married Margaret Anne Behen in 1961.
Bob retired as a Detective Sergeant from the Delaware State Police in 1988 and he continued to serve as an investigator for the Department of Justice, the Delaware Thoroughbred Racing Commission and the Delaware Harness Racing Commission until 2009.
After his retirement he and Margaret Anne enjoyed their home and friends in The Villages, Florida.
Bob was a charter member of the FOP Lodge #3 and the DSP Lodge of the FOP. Bob was also a life member of the Delaware State Police Retired Association and life member and past President of the Robbins Hose Company.
In 1966 he was Delaware Volunteer Fireman of the Year.
He was Master Mason, Harmony Lodge 13 in Smyrna and a member of the Villages Mustang Club.
Bob had attended Asbury Methodist Church in Smyrna and the New Conventant Methodist Church in the Villages, Fla.
