She attended East High School, Class of 1944. Jane married Thorsten Bengtson on June 6, 1953, in Rockford. He predeceased her on July 24, 1986.
She worked at City of Rockford Water Dept., Jackson - Keye Real Estate, and Lloyd's Electric & Battery before retiring on January 30, 1994.
Jane was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was part of Miriam Circle.
Survived by: sons, Peter (Terry) Bengtson, Timothy Bengtson, and Alan (Christine) Bengtson; grandchildren, Erik and Britta (Casey) Donnelly, and Bethany Wagner; and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by: parents; husband; sisters, Gladys Josephson, Lilly Weast, and Alice Gibson; and brother, Victor Ekwall; and brothers-in-law, John and Glenn Bengtson.
Funeral Services on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at Fred C. Olson Chapel. Burial at Scandinavian Cemetery.
