Mr. Tyris “Ty” Allen Chrisco, 88, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2018 at Danby House. He was born June 24, 1929 in Alamance County, the son of Edward and Agnes McPhearson Chrisco. He was a member for many years at Parkland Church and recently was a member at New Hope Presbyterian Church in Clemmons. He loved playing baseball, softball and tennis. Ty’s two favorite places were playing ball and being at church. His son Gerald spoke this about his father “Little children loved him, guys who were struggling loved him, folks who were not loved by many other people loved him. It seems to me; my Daddy was loved by the same kind of people who loved Jesus”. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Jimmy and Frank. Survivors include his wife Maxine G. Chrisco; a son Gerald Chrisco (Allison) of Belews Creek and three grandchildren whom he adored, Allison, Ashley and Aleah. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Charles Kennedy and Rev. David Wood officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Kate B.
