She married 1st Louis McDonald in 1902 in Owls Head, NY. This union produced 8 children. She married 2nd Alton C. (Silas) Ritchie in 1946, no children from 2nd marriage.
She died in Massena Memorial Hospital, Massena, NY at the age of 88. Survived by 20 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services: Sacred Heart Church, Massena, NY.
Burial was to be delayed until spring of 1971, Garfield Cemetery, Potsdam, NY.

Mrs. Elizabeth Belair Ritchie, 88, of 15 Riverdale Apartments, widow of Alton Ritchie, died in Massena Memorial Hospital Saturday night, Feb. 6, 1971 at 6:50 o'clock. She had been hospitalized three days.
The body was at the Phillips Memorial Home. Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock in Sacred Heart Church. The body was placed in the vault to await burial in Garfield Cemetery in Potsdam.
Surviving are three sons, Kenneth and Carlton McDonald, both of Massena, and Aca McDonald, Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. Viola McDonald Herne, Norwood, Mrs. William (Ruby) Welsh, Black River, and Mrs. Anthony (Wavabelle) Serge, Massena; 20 grandchildren and 44 greatgrandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Herbert (Stella) Morrow, Plattsburgh. She was predeceased by two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy McDonald VanKoughnette, Potsdam, June 16, 1967, and Mrs. Eva McDonald Gebo, Potsdam, Apr. 18, 1970.
Mrs. Ritchie was born at Trout River Oct. 13, 1882, a daughter of Peter and Sarah Revette Belair. She attended schools in Trout River. She was married to Louis McDonald at Owls Head in 1902. Her second husband was Alton Ritchie. They were married in 1946 and he died Feb. 17, 1968.
She lived in Potsdam 53 years and moved to Massena about a year ago.
