Mr. Archie Dail Edgell, 84, of Centerpoint, WV. died Monday, March 26th at Louis A, Johnson VA Medical Center, with family by his side.

Mr. Edgell, born in Reader, WV; was the son of the late Bruce and Effie Swiger Edgell. He was also preceded in death by two children, Katherine Louise Drain and Jackie Lee Edgell; two grandchildren; thirteen siblings, Okey, Opal, Olive, Earl, Willis, Loman, James, Lester Edgell, Pauline Prunty, Freda Cain, Zella Yeager, Audrey and Mary Edgell.

He was a Korean War Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the City of Salem as the Street Water Commissioner for several years. He loved music and played every instrument he touched in several groups and at many places around the area. He was in the Army Band in Germany called The Ivy Troubador's and locally with the Gospel Strings of Salem.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances Kathleen Hutson Edgell; three children, Steven Dail Edgell and wife Amanda of Philippi; Daniel Bruce Edgell of Centerpoint; and Isaiah David Edgell of Philippi; 10 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
