Daniel Scott Strauss, age 55, of Kettering, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, March 28, 2018.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Betty Jean (Weinstock) Strauss, his brother Michael Strauss, his daughter Alicia Strauss, and his son Alexander Strauss.
He leaves behind his loving wife Judith (Fryman) Strauss, his sons Ryan (Jessica) Strauss and Daryl (Amy) Sparks, his brother David (Carolyn) Strauss, his sister Susan (Rick) Venham, and his sister Sherry (Larry) Snider. He also has six grandchildren; CheyAnne, Aliza, Cora, Brody, Avery, and Evan.
Dan was born in Marietta, Ohio on March 8, 1963. He served in the Air Force for four years where he received his degree as a network engineer. In addition to his successful career, Dan was an active member of Church of the Cross. He enjoyed shooting pool, watching football, and being a papaw to his grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday March 31 at Morris Sons funeral home, 1771 East Dorothy Lane in Kettering. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Dan’s hometown, Marietta, Ohio.
Graveside service noon Monday, Gravel Bank Cemetery, Marietta, Ohio.
