Arthur Tifton Badgett, 81, of Cheyenne, passed away at his home on March 27th.

He was born on November 11, 1936 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Mark B. and Edith C. Badgett.

Cremation has taken place.by Wiederspahn-Radonsky Chapel of Cheyenne. A memorial service will be held in Dayton, Wyoming in the summer.

He attended Sheridan schools, graduating in 1954 from Sheridan High School. He attended Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming and served three years in the U. S. Army, including one year in South Korea.

Art married Judy Olson December 1, 1963 in Sheridan, Wyoming.

Art worked for Cook Ford Sales during his youth, and the Padlock Ranch for 35 years until retirement in 2002. Art & Judy moved to Cheyenne following his retirement to be closer to immediate family.

Art served as the Past Secretary and Past President of the Ranchester-Dayton Rotary Club, he was a member of Big Horn Mountain Masonic Lodge 43, Scottish Rite, Kalif Shrine, and the American Legion Post 7.

Art served as a member of the Dayton Town Council and as Dayton Mayor for over 25 years.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, a daughter, Merry Christine, sister, Barbara Jane, brothers Floyd, Mark, and Virgil (Tubby) Badgett.

He is survived by his wife Judy, sons Tim (Gail) of Indianapolis, Indiana, Todd (Jeanne), of Arvada, Colorado, Tom ( Paula) , of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Grandsons John and Kennedy Badgett, Granddaughters Anna Maria Badgett, Heather Kuhl and Kayla Voiles and Great Granddaughters, Kyra and Isabella Kuhl, and Great Grandson, Sammy Edwards. Also surviving are brother Al, sister Maurine of Sheridan, and sister Virginia (Ginny) Hannum of Las Vegas, Nevada.
