Mary Towns Baker, Age 89 – passed away December 5, 2015. She was born October 29, 1926 in Smith County, TN and was the youngest of 12 siblings.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James L. Baker and survived by her sister, Burnease Kilgo; 4 daughters; Anita Fields (Danny), Mary Ann Watkins (Gary), Janice Robertson and Phyllis Campbell (Rok); grandchildren, Dana Oman (Bond), Amy Haymond (Gregg), Katey Feinstein (Jason), Charles Watkins (Kate), Ashley Lawrence (Clayton), Julie Mathis (Chris), Jonathan Campbell, Mary Campbell and 15 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Baker was a loving mother who raised 4 strong women. She had a successful career in accounting. She was an award winning ball room dancer and had a great sense of humor.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation from two o’clock until seven o’clock on the afternoon of Sunday, December 6, 2015. A funeral ceremony to honor the life of Mrs. Baker will be conducted at eleven-thirty on the morning of Monday, December 7, 2015, in the Dignity Hall of Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
The family of Mrs. Baker would like to thank the staff of Brookdale – Franklin, special caregivers; Roxanne and Darlene and Avalon Hospice for their loving care and support.
