Mary Lee (Allison) Bridges was born on August 8, 1922, the daughter of Aude Lurton Allison (1886-1944) and Georgia "Katherine" (Kerr) Allison (1893-1972). [Aude and Katherine were married on March 18, 1919 in Houston County, Tennessee.]
Living in Nashville, Tennessee, she joined East End Methodist Church in 1942 and was active in the choir and United Methodist Women.
Mary was married in September 1946 to Charles Porter Bridges (1914-2007), the son of Charles Lewis Bridges (1878-1960) and Carrie May (Sanders) Bridges (1878-1955).
She was an accomplished artist, pianist and had a beautiful alto voice. Mary also had a great love of family, with music a part of every family gathering, especially the Christmas Eve celebrations shared by the family.
Long retired from Fireman's Fund as an underwriter, Mary was 95 years old when she passed away on March 29, 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, sister Evelyn (Allison) Hendrick and by nieces Ann Marilyn Brummitt and Sarah Katherine Ryan. Survivors included a married nephew, married niece and many grandnieces, grandnephews and great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews.
Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville.
