Robert Alvis "Red" Biggs, 90, of Martinsville, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at SOVAH Health Martinsville. He was born March 30, 1927 in Patrick County, to the late Robert and Bertie Stowe Biggs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby McMillian Biggs; a sister, Frances Ingram; and a daughter-in-law , Mandy Biggs.

Mr. Biggs proudly served in the United States Army, and was a member of Rich Acres Christian Church. He was a supervisor for Pannill Knitting Company with over 40 years of service.

He is survived by his daughter, Penny Bishop; sons, Larry Biggs and Barry (Judy) Biggs; sister, Lois Turner (Herman); grandchildren, Kristy (Billy) Howell, Nicki Biggs, Austin Ryals and Jude Bishop; and great-grandchildren, Ben Turner and Blake Ferguson; stepgreat- granddaughter, Ashley Lovell.

The funeral will be Monday, April 2, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Rich Acres Christian Church with Pastor Tim Hunt and Pastor Creighton Beatty officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park with Military Honors performed by the Henry County Honor Guard.
