Duane R. Adams, age 78, died of End Stages of Parkinson's on March 28, 2018, in The Cedars Nursing Home, Leo, IN. He was born on January 5, 1940, in the St. Francis Hospital, Beech Grove, IN, to Marvin and Mable (McCrary) Adams. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn Lyn Adams. He graduated from Pittsboro Indiana High School with the Class of 1958. He farmed and worked as a Teller for the State Bank of Lizton in Pittsboro, IN, after graduation. He served in the Army as a Radar Specialist from May of 63 to May of 65. He then became a full time farmer while being employed by American Airlines in Indianapolis, IN, and retired in 1998, with 33 Years of service. Duane is survived by his wife, Patricia (Morrison) Adams, of New Haven, IN, his son, Travis Adams (Audrey Dixon), and children, Mia and Aiden, Jimmy and Heather. Dane Adams (Andi Reichhart) and children, Dakota, Max and Oliver and his daughter, Patience Adams and her son Peyton Reynolds, all of Woodburn, IN. He is also survived by his sisters Darlene Lindley and Marilyn Rihm and brothers Robert and Gary Adams. His passion was Farming. He was a member of the Hendricks County Antique, Tractor Club. He was also a member of the Fort Wayne Parkinson's Support Group. He was a resident at the Cedars Nursing Home for the past two years where he enjoyed euchre, dominoes, gardening club, bus trips and going outside as much as he could. His nickname at the Cedars was "The Jolly Green Giant". He was a wonderful husband, family man and loving father. His family and friends will remember him as an easy going person, all around nice guy, a baseball coach and umpire and had a very good sense of humor, even as he beat cancer and during his twenty four years of Parkinson's.
