June Irene Remington passed away July 14 after a brief battle with cancer.
June was born on January 29, 1930 in Los Angeles, CA., where she lived most of her life. June moved to Mount Vernon in August 1988 after the death of her husband Donald. They spend most of their weekends camping and fishing. After moving to Mount Vernon she took up bowling. She was very active in the bowling association, served as a director. In May she received the bowlers Hall of Fame award. She was also active in the Emblem Club. June enjoyed playing pinochle with the girls, painting and crafts.
June is survived by her daughter Dolores and Bob Holliman of Mount Vernon; son Bruce and Diana Remington of AZ, grandsons Donald, Thomas and Robby Holliman of Mount Vernon: Michael Remington; great granddaughters Alex and Megan Remington of AZ; brother Vernon and Marchas Suess; sister-in-law Velma and Sam Zambrano; numerous nieces and nephews all of Ca.
A celebration of life will be held at her home Saturday July 21, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
Instead of flowers, please donate to the Skagit Hospice or your favorite charity in memory of June.
Arrangements are under the care of Hawthorne Funeral Home, 1825 E. College Way, Mount Vernon, WA.
