John was the the 3rd of 9 children born to James Henry an Delilah Katherine Vanderpool Hammons.
On 4-15-1908 he married Maude O. Brown in Concordia, KS. Together they were the parents of 7 children. They were: Maudie Ruth, Mabel Marie, Roscoe Verle, Melva Pearl, Lexie Irene, Johnny Jr. and Alfred Adorum.
I always thought all of these cousins were such a great family.
Uncle John was a wonderful son, brother, father and husband.
Cause of death: Heart attack.
