MRS. EVA CHAPMAN
Mrs. Eva Chapman, 83, Rt. 3, Elwood, died Wednesday morning at University Hospital, Indianapolis. She had been ill for sometime.
Born in Elwood, Jan. 9, 1895, to Frank and Ella Hollingsworth Everling, she was the widow of John Chapman whom she married in 1920.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Maude) St. Clair of Elwood, and Mrs. Lulu Perigo of Long Beach, Calif .; a foster son and two foster grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Jackley-Landrum Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Row officiating. Burial will be made in the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Jackley- Landrum Funeral Home Friday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.
