Kenneth R.Owens, 75, of Germantown, OH, passed into eternity suddenly at his home on Wednesday afternoon, April 11, 2018. Ken was born March 29, 1943 in Pigeon Roost, KY, one of 11 children born to Watson and Polly Jane (Bush) Owens. He served for two years with the US Army during the Vietnam War from May of 1968 to May of 1970, spending 13 months in Germany. He worked nearly 40 years for Delphi (Delco) Division of General Motors, retiring from the Needmore Road Plant. He was a true family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Ken was often seen with a camera in his hand and enjoyed taking candid photos of family and friends. He greatly enjoyed being outdoors and working in his yard. Preceded in death by parents Watson and Polly Jane Owens; brothers Adron, Elmer and Arvil; and sisters Bessie and Geneva.

Survived by wife Debra A. (Clark) Owens; children Wendy Hodge of Miamisburg, OH and Jeromy Owens of Germantown, OH; granddaughters Skyler and Madison Owens; brothers Everett of South Bend, IN, Orson and wife Cathy of Lexington, KY and Alvin and wife Bobbie Jean of Frankfort, KY; sisters Georgie and Sharon both of Lexington, KY; brother in law Jim Clark, Jr. and wife Theresa of Farmersville, OH; along with many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on the family from 1:00 – 2:00 PM Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens – 3377 US Rt. 35 – West Alexandria. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jerry Carter presiding. Military honors will be provided at the graveside by the Preble County Honor Guard.Burial Preble Memory Gardens Cemetery, West Alexandria. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
