She graduated Everett Alverez High School in 2000; though her last job was as an insurance agent, during her attendance at Fullerton College, she was a writer for the Hornet campus newspaper (2006-08), where she met her future husband, Sports Editor Kevin A’Lurede (married about 2010). Despite their tragic end, it was a loving relationship.
