Anthony C. (Tony) Lamanna April 6, 2007

Anthony C. (Tony) Lamanna, 87, life resident of Syracuse , passed away Friday at University Hospital. Anthony was a graduate of North High School and served as a Staff Sergeant in the US Army during WWII in Saipan. Anthony was employed for 45 years as a furrier at E.W. Edwards and D'Jimas. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Pompei Church. He was a member of the Pioneer Horseshoe Club, McChesney Senior Citizen Club, Senior Summer Day Camp and Ross Towers Social Group. He was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Angeline (Sindoni) Lamanna in 2005.

Anthony is survived by a son, Joseph (Shelly) Lamanna of Rochester; daughters, Janice Harvey of Liverpool and Gloria Lamanna of Syracuse ; sister, Rose Orso of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Jessica and Ryan Harvey; Kara and Nicholas Lamanna; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the PIRRO & SONS FUNERAL HOME and 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Pompei Church. Burial will be in Assumption Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home, 514 Turtle St., Syracuse .
