Tommy Joe Alldredge, 87, of Clyde died Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Clyde with Dr. Toby Henson officiating. Burial will follow in the Clyde Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Howard Funeral Home of Clyde.

Tommy was born May 7, 1930 in Spur, Texas to Cayce and Iva (Hahn) Alldredge.

He graduated from high school in Spur and attended Hardin Simmons University for two years and graduated from Texas Tech University.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1954.

He married Betty Ann Cavender in Abilene in 1964 and they moved to Clyde from Abilene. Betty Ann preceded him in death in 1990.

Tommy later married Priscilla Connally in Waco in 1992.

Betty and Priscilla were classmates at Hendrick School of Nursing in Abilene and lifelong friends.

Tommy worked as a farmer and rancher for many years.

He had also been a cotton buyer and worked for Timex.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clyde and the Clyde Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his step-sons, Clay Connally and Kyle Connally and wife Lorrie, all of Portland, Oregon and many nieces and nephews, including Dickie Gerig and husband Bruce of Sherman.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Betty Jean Fallis of Arlington and both of his wives.
