He was born in Cloquet, the son of Albert and Sylvia Wencl Kubat and graduated from Cloquet High School. He was a veteran of the Navy. He moved to Manchester in 1969. Mr. Kubat was employed as a welder by Northeastern Sheet Metal Inc., Goffstown, N.H., for the past 22 years. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 17.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Anne (Benard) Kubat of Manchester; a daughter, Jennifer A. Kubat of Manchester; sons Mark A. Kubat of Pittsfield, N.H., Michael M. Kubat and Timothy R. Kubat, both of Manchester; three grandchildren; his father, Albert of Cloquet; sisters Mrs. Alfred (Theresa) Gladen of Covington, Wash., Margaret Krause, Mrs. Gregory (Cecilia) Jones and Mrs. Robert (Louise) Jones, all of Cloquet, and Mrs. Gary (Nancy) McKay of Pine Island, Minn.; brothers James Kubat of Nashwauk, William Kubat of Esko, Thomas Kubat of Duluth, Andrew Kubat of Dawson, Minn., Raymond Kubat of Cloquet, Patrick Kubat of Duluth and Kenneth Kubat of North Branch, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.
