Denise Marie Putz, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, April 13, 2018 at the age of 51.

Denise was born on September 30, 1966 in Phoenixville, PA. She grew up as one of three children and attended Phoenixville High School. Soon after high school, Denise took a position with ChemAlloy Company where she worked for many decades as the Executive Assistant for the president.

Denise was the avid sports fan. Each year she would wait (not so patiently) and watch her favorite sports teams, from the Tennessee Lady Vols to the Pittsburgh Steelers and back to the Philadelphia Flyers vie for the championship.

If there was music and a dance floor, Denise was there. Her love for music included the likes of Melissa Ethridge, Christine Havrilla, and even back to the 70’s and 80’s for some Peter Frampton, REO Speedwagon, as well as, George Michael. She enjoyed concerts with friends and had taken her sister to see Heart as a birthday gift. To Denise, music was a gift. There wasn’t a song out there that didn’t remind her of someone.

Denise was an individual who loved her animals, too. She was momma to her beloved dachshund, Rudy, who she has now been reunited with. If you had to be out of town, Denise was the kind of person you would want watching your fur babies because you knew they would receive an abundance of love and attention.

Journeys had taken Denise to so many beautiful places. Her most recent trip was to Hawaii with family and friends that had been on her travel bucket list for quite a few years. In addition, she looked forward to going on her brother and brother-in-law’s Friends & Family cruises as there was always a new destination she needed to discover. From east coast to west coast and in between, her love for travel was an endless journey. She often said to fill your life with experience, not things.

Denise had a sanctuary, too. That sanctuary was the beach. No matter what time of the year it was, you could find her at the beach where she spent most of her time over the past couple of years. Whether she was antiquing or enjoying a meal with her friends, she was in her happiest place. She was always sharing beautiful pictures of the sunrise for those of us who may have needed a lift or just to tease us.

Denise was a super funny, witty, sweet, and a one of a kind person always thinking of others. She was always there for those that needed her. She would like everyone to remember her smile and the time spent with her. She loved you all.
