Charles E. McCormick, Jr., age 80, of Dawsonville, passed away on March 21, 2015. Charles was a man of God, loving husband, father, and grandfather. Charles loved gardening, photography, animals, and was also a licensed pilot. He is preceded in death by his son, Charles Ellis McCormick and his first wife, Frances B. McCormick.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie M. McCormick; daughter, Julia McCormick (Steve) Kuni of Loganville; step-daughters, Lisa (John) Hayden of Atlanta, Linda (Robin) Weiss of Suwanee; sister, Martha Alice Sweet of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Stephen McCormick Kuni, Jennifer Regan, Hannah Regan; nieces and nephews, Lesley Sholl, Matthew Sweet, Mark Sweet.

Memorial services will be held Friday, March 27, 2015, 2:00 p.m. at John's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Shaun King and Rev. David White officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to John's Creek Baptist Church, 6910 McGinnis Ferry Rd, Alpharetta, GA 30005, or Dawson County Humane Society, 633 Martin Rd, Dawsonville, GA 30534
