Olive M. Best, 88, Greensburg, died at 5:20 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2000, at the Heritage House in Greensburg.

Born May 28, 1911, in Boone County, she was the daughter of James and Martha Jane (Bohannon) Mantooth. She married Willard Farmer Best on Nov. 16, 1928, in Jeffersonville, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1978.

The homemaker was a member of the First Christian Church in Greensburg.

She is survived by one son, Willard Best Jr. of Bringhurst; and two granddaughters.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Edith Williams, Eunice Pennington, and Julia Jordan; and four brothers, Hobert Mantooth, Anderson Mantooth, Willard Mantooth, and Aaron Mantooth.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. today at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, with the Rev. Scott Stewart officiating.

Burial will be at South Park Cemetery in Greensburg.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the time of the service today at the funeral home.
